When does term start/end?Terms start and end on the same dates as the West Australian Government school timetable. Reference below:
-
What should my child wear to dance class? While there is not a "uniform " set in place - ALL Dancers must respect the art of dance by being appropriately attired. Dance shorts are great for Acro, Tap and Jazz/Hip-Hop classes, while dance skirts are appropriate for Ballet and Tiny Tots classes. Dance attire is required - no street clothing is allowed. Dance clothing is available at all major department stores at a very affordable price, eg. Best & Less, Target, and Kmart. Studio Scene in Melville and Glitter Lane in O'Conner are our local Dance shops. Shoes are not required for children in Toddlers and Tiny Tots classes. Ballet pumps (NOT jiffies), ballet stockings, and ballet skirts are required for ballet. All dancers are responsible for their own dance shoes. MNDS specific clothing can be found here but is not required.
-
Do parents have to stay?Junior and senior dancers are asked to be dropped off and collected. Parents please do not enter the studio unless absolutely necessary, or if organised with teachers beforehand.
-
What does my child have to bring?A water bottle is always required. The child also may require extra dance shoes and clothing, with snacks and lunch if participating in Saturday classes. Food is NOT allowed on the studio floors and must be kept and eaten in the waiting room only. There are cubbies available to keep belongings inside. If belongings are forgotten they aren't moved from the studio, but if they're left until the end of the year, they will be thrown away.
-
What's the parking like?Students and parents are asked to park in visitors bays only, or number nine. Parents are also encouraged to drop off junior and senior children. (Driving in parking lot is walking speed)
